Testing the snapper.

I have used a camera to test out different types of shot that are commonly used in all aspects of the media. This included low angled and high angled mid shots, and some shots with the rule of thirds applied. the picture of the leaf uses a super-macro shot, which makes the picture have a shallow depth of field

Music Magazines

This is the now my second blog yet is is the first of my music magazione coursework project. Over the course of the blog, i will showe you how i have been building up ideas for my music magazine. I am particularly interested in rock and many of it's subgenres, and i like some bands such as Machine Head, Bullet For My Valentine, Iron Maiden, Trivium, Metallica etc etc but don't be fooled i do like some softer stuff such as Youmeatsix, Paramore and 30 Seconds to Mars. I don't mind some indie stuff as well like Arctic Monkeys and The Kooks. The most natural choice of magazine for me to study would be Kerrang!. Kerrang! magazine is a mgazine that is aimed at people interested in rock music. You could say it's aimed at 'moshers', 'emos' and 'goths' Kerrang! covers all over the sub-genres surrounding the rock music industry.

Between July 2009 and June 2010, The National Readership Survey collected the nations top read magazines. The magazine which will help me the most, Kerrang!, has proved to be the nation's favourite magazine closely followed by NME magazine. Kerrang! managed to sell 421,000 copies overall and NME managed to sell 325,000 copies overall.

Chapter 1

Well hello there my beautiful brothers. This is officially my first ever blog and I am just testing this site out. Not too shabby if you ask me. Never been one for blogging but hey I could get used to this. After years of myspace and facebook it's about time I was introduced to something new, and innovative. Recently, over the past few months, more and more of my friends have started blogging, so why not join this malarkey ey?
