I had found my particular focus group for my niche market and I basically found everything about them in order for me to create a successful magazine adhering to their needs.

This slide shows the different conventions used typically in a music magazine. In this presentation I have looked at how Kerrang! and NME have used the conventions to appeal to their audiences. Also I have looked at how the rule of thirds applies to each magazine.

Music Photoshoot

This image here shows a finger gesture from myself and this is meant to reflect the niche market which my target audience focuses on. This suggests that my niche market is counter-culture, antisocial and rebellious.

This photo particularly focused on the lighting showing some shadows around the subject. This suggests the subject has a slightly notorious or enticing look about him.

This pose suggests that my niche market are united and that they stand for what they are, and are proud to defend themselves.

This pose suggests that the fun and excitement that my niche market have. This also refers to the hype of a gig and the sudden adrenaline rush that gig-goers get from 'moshpits'.

This shows again that my niche market stand for what they represent.

These are some of the photos which were taken for my music magazine. Some of these are identifiable in my magazine yet some changes may have been made. i decided to place a blue screen behind me and my friend for this photoshoot as it is much easier to edit photos that have been taken on a blue screen. also our outfits were chosen specifically to represent my niche market.
